Educational Professional Services and Educational Consulting Associates
EPS and ECA provides professional E-Rate Consulting Associates for schools and libraries. Our clients range from small rural schools and libraries, to large urban school districts and libraries.
The EPS team concentrates on working with large applicants, while the ECA staff dedicates their efforts to helping small applicants. This division of responsibility allows each client to have a dedicated team that understands the needs of both large and small applicants.
EPS and ECA are based in Louisiana and we provide E-Rate Consulting Associates to more than 50% of the Louisiana public school districts and charter schools. In addition to providing E-Rate services in Louisiana, we provide services to applicants in Tennessee, Ohio, Arkansas, Alabama, North Carolina and Mississippi. We believe it is important for us to understand local and state procurement rules before accepting E-Rate applicants in other states. Our expansion has been gradual and well-planned to assure our staff can support applicants with compliance of state, local and federal E-Rate rules.
We have chosen to work exclusively with E-Rate applicants and believe our role does not include the recommendation or selection of any vendors.
Why do applicants need an E-Rate Consultant?
The E-Rate application process is complex and can be frightening. No one wants to lose E-Rate funding but it happens more often than it should. People who began filing E-Rate in 1998 are retiring, moving to other positions or suffering from work overload due to budget cuts in education.
Filing for E-Rate discounts is like filing a corporate tax form. Many of us hire CPAs to do our tax forms because we don’t know all the changes in tax laws or have the time to complete the paperwork – not to mention having someone to represent us in an audit. Hiring an E-Rate Consultant is much the same.
